Miley Cyrus probed by police

Miley Cyrus allegedly struck a man in the face during an altercation on Saturday night (8 September).

The LOL actress was with her fiancé Liam Hemsworth at Beacher's Madhouse at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood when the victim claims he and a friend accidentally bumped into the Australian actor's chair.

"Miley, her boyfriend and the victim were talking and an argument ensued. Miley pushed the victim and struck the victim in the face," Officer Rosario Herrera told the Daily News.

"There were no visible injuries and no arrests made," she said. "The victim came to the station (on 9 September to file the report). It's an ongoing investigation."

The claims are the latest in a hectic weekend for the Can't Be Tamed singer, who saw a 40-year-old man who claimed to be married to her arrested at her home in Los Angeles.

Jason Luis Rivera, who claims to have been friends with the 19-year-old singer for five years, scaled a fence at the blonde beauty's gated mansion in Los Angeles, where he turned up with a pair of black and green scissors.

He started banging on the door and then hid in bushes in the garden when police officers arrived at the scene.

Police soon realised where Rivera was hiding when he started lighting candles and they threatened to taser him if he did not come out with his hands up.

As he was led away by officials, a local TV station heard him telling officers: "I am friends with Miley Cyrus. I am."
