Vancouver-based producer Teen Daze released a single, "New Life," that is to be included on his just-annouced LP The Inner Mansions, due out November 6. Soft Signal calls the single "a blessed-out, hypotic jam" while Birds Neet Feet says the track "takes a more laidback and dreamy approach than what you (or at least I) would have expected. It works great."
English singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding enters the Hype Machine chart thanks to a remix of "Anything Could Happen," the lead single from her forthcoming album, Halcyon. The man behind the remix is LA-based 21-year-old producer Michael Tucker, who signed to 4AD in June. "The song seems to stick to the original in the vocal department but the pounding bass and tropical undertones definitely surpass the original in my mind," reviews Indie Shuffle. "Crisp, clear and cutting-edge, just what a good pop song should be," says Salacious Sound.
